Paraglider Point
About Paraglider Point:
One of the more obscure crags in the Port Hills, overlooking Cass Bay. The rock is of rather variable quality, and the first 2.5m are to be treated with great care. Some of the routes are quite loose, but a few are solid enough to be safe, though a helmet is obligatory. Directions: Park at Castle Rock, and walk 300m SE down the Summit Rd. Cross the stile on the south side of the road, hang a left, cross another stile, and follow the yellow (markers) trail to the south. Strike cross-country to the crag at the end of the spur (you will be approaching the left end from behind) where it seems appropriate. |
