About Cobb Valley:
| Cobb Valley is a newly devloped trad climbing area with great potential for more devlopment. at present there are seven seperate crags with less than 20 routes between them. |

| Directions: | From SH60, turn up the road to Cobb Reservoir at Upper Takaka (at the base of Takaka Hill). Continue up past the powerstation to the Reservoir. Turn right at the Reservoir and cross the dam. Continue 1km to Lake Sylvester trail lead - get out and walk from there. It is about an hours' walk to the Lake Sylvester hut and a 20 minute walk to the Crag on the lake. Another 20 minuts brings you to the base of Iron Hill |
