About Castle Rock (OS):

One of the great Crags in the Lake District. A visit here is a must for anyone seeking fulfillment from rock climbing. The crag is steep and offers little below VS on the main face. The crag to the right, however, offers plenty in the lower grades. There are about 60 routes, 200 feet long, averaging E1. Even the E3s here feel like E1s, just very good east climbing in the Extreme grade. Wonderful setting, fine views, and a sunny situation. A crag for everyone, definately worth a visit.
