About Gable Crag(OS):

A good crag with some high quality routes around the VS grade. About 50 routes, 150 to 250 feet, in all grades from Diff to good Extremes. The crag is quite steep and best for the competent Hard Severe climber. However, the crag is over 3,000 feet above sea level and faces north, so for most of the year is quite cold and best avoided. In June and July, though, it is one of the best spots in the Lakes.
