About Gimmer Crag (OS):
Some climber's have said this crag belongs in a list of the world's TOP 50 CRAGS! A magnificent crag, delightful to climb on, West facing at 1,600 feet above sea level. About 80 routes, mainly up to VS with a number of Extremes up to E4. The routes are a quality mix of all grades and the setting, high on the side of the Langdale Pikes in the evening sun, is not to be missed.
Camping is available at either the National Trust site, right next to the Old Dungeon Ghyll Pub, or at the farm site in Chapel Style (this site is cheaper, although most prefer the Pubside sites for access and proximity to beer). |
