About Hobson Moor Quarry (OS):

The best quarry in the Stalybridge area, 50 routes up to 50 feet long on fairly good gritstone. All grades up to E4, but best around VS-HVS. Definately worth a visit for the middle grades climber.
Nearest town or city: Stalybridge
Directions: OS 109 GR SJ 989 967 Alt. 293m
1 mile SE of Stalybridge. Take the A6018 southeast to the roundabout ar Roe Cross, half a mile before Mottram in Longendale. Then take the small lane on the left, which forks uphill for about 400 yards, and the quarry will be seen on the left.
