About Woodhouse Scar (OS):

A small gritstone crag with about 60 routes in all grades up to E4, most around 30 feet long. Some very good bouldering to be found here also. Worth a visit after some dry weather, but bring a brush, the rock can get rather green.

Directions: OS 104 GR SE 082 235 Alt. 179m
1.5 miles SSW of Halifax centre. From the A58 at Sowerby Bridge railway station take the main road towards Elland, and after a mile and a half take the road heading left up a hill. Take the first left after 100 yards and the crag is up on the right.
