About Spadeadam Crag (OS):

This is a couple of sandstone buttresses about 20 feet tall, with about 15 climbs from SEVERE up to 6a. A nice setting makes it worth a visit. |

| Directions: | OS 86 GR NY 637 694 Alt. 187m 5.5 miles northwest of Haltwhistle. Take the B6318 to Gilsland, then head north on the Butterburn Road. Stay on this to a sharp right bend after about a mile and a half, then go another half mile to a lay-by. From here a path leads down to the right to the river, where the crag is on this side. |
