The Cioch-Southern Quarry
About The Cioch-Southern Quarry:
The first major feature of the South Edge and Quarries is The Cioch. One of the most impressive pieces of rock in the Peak District, it is a huge overhanging block, riddled throughout with old bolts and other memorabilia from the bygone age of gritstone aid climbing. The Cioch is the entrance to the Southern Quarry, and has only high end Extremes ascending it. Routes are listed from right to left. |
