About Laddow Rocks(OS):

A great traditional gritstone crag, in a splendid situation, and often very quiet. About 75 routes up to HVS, of which nearly all worth doing. Some climbs are over 100 feet tall, but about 60 feet is the usual length. East facing, morning is the best time to climb here. At a high elevation, it can get quite nasty in the winter.
Nearest town or city: Glossop
Directions: OS110--GR056/014 4.5 NNE of Glossop. From Tintwhistle take the A628 east for three and a half miles to the small village of Crowden. A valley leads off to the left. Take the public footpath on the left side of the stream, which goes up the left of two valleys, and after 600 yards, a crag will be seen on the left. This is Black Tor, with about ten routes. One mile further on is Rake's Rocks on the left, with about fifteen routes. About two miles from the main road you will reach Laddow on the left. Waterproof boots are useful for this walk. Directly across the valley from here is Bareholme Crag.
