About 80 km west of Kuusamo, on Route 81. Nearest shops are in Posio 30 km east of Korouoma. After 30 km from Posio you'll see and a sign for Korouoma and your left, follow the road untill you see another (wooden) sign for Korouoma on your right. Drive untill the end of the road and park at the parking lot. Follow the well marked path to Kanjoni-laavut camp ground (about 1.2 km).
Camping is free, but only at selected spots (for the ice falls, Kanjoni-Laavut). The camping place has has a woodshed, two fire places, two wooden Lavu's, and toalets. There is also a cabin about 4 km upstream from the camping place.
The water from the stream is pure enough to drink without any purification.
Near the Kanjoni-laavut is also a rentable hut (good for 6 people, has a wood stove for warming and six beds with matresses).
