About Pont-Saint-Nicolas:

Pont-Saint-Nicolas takes its name after the bridge crossing the river Gardon just beneath. It's one of the numerous limestone crags on this river, like Russan or Collias. It's facing south and can be really warm in winter, so avoid it in summer!

It's a small crag with 30-35 sport climbing routes, between 8 and 20 meters.

There are :
14 routes under 5c.
10 routes from 6a to 6b+.
5 routes from 6c to 7a+.
6 routes between 7b and 7c+.
20 routes over 8a.
They are divided in 5 main sections each one with caves and big overhangs but one beginner section.

Nearest town or city: Uzès, Remoulins
Directions:

From Nîmes, drive north direction Uzès, and when you cross the rebuilt , drive uphill on the road which crosses a very small hamlet. IMMEDIATELY after this hamlet and before the wooden crash barrier, turn left on the dirt road and park where the hiking-trails direction-pole (see photo) stands. Don't leave anything in the car.
Then follow the path "Russan" + "Le Castellas" down to the river. On the shore, go right, and after 2-3 minutes of walk on the shore, walk uphill (2 or 3 1-square-yard typical white limestone slabs on the path) to reach the first section ("Mytho", overhanging routes with a characteristic dark-grey column on the left) after 5 more minutes. The second section ("La Cage aux Folles" and "Contractions Rapprochées") is few minutes further. To reach the last one ("Arche de Noé"), climb on a fixed rope on a big boulder and then use the fixed rope to reach the bottom (4 more minutes).
