About Monte Pellegrino - Lo Schiavo:

Limestone crag west of Palermo, near the beach resort of Mondello. The vicinity with electric lines and some nasty areas (homeless, prostitutes, used syringes, ferral dogs) is a problem, though the rock is very good.
Nearest town or city: Palermo - Mondello
Directions: The climbing guide is explicit. Lo Schiavo is the pillar adjacent to a large pylon. Walk through the park, cross the one way road (from the S to the N), walk up to the pillar (homeless camp and ferral dogs underneath the area).
