A easily approached mountain offering varied climbing. Take the road from Lyngseidet towards west and Svesby and drive around 2 to 4 km. Store Kjostind is to the north of the road and rises 1583 m above sea level (where you start your climb). The character of the rock is really loose so be careful or try to use the snow gullies as much as possible. But beware that avanlance risk is really big on the slopes so whatch your steps.
I graded the route we did as AD, although it might well be AD- and the grade comes mostly form the upper snow gully and its incline (circa 50 degrees). There might also be some easier routes to the top, possibly form the SW-gully but I'm not sure and the incline of the gullies seems to be about the same.
