Description:
Looking for a better way to get to the summit of Buachaille Etive Mor in Summer? Then allow me to highly recommend Curved Ridge. To reach Curved Ridge, follow the path from the Lagangarbh Car Park and take to left fork after the bridge. This path leads round the base of the mountain. Soon you'll reach a large flat slab on your right with water running across it. This is the Waterslide Slabs. Turn right and follow a small path uphill, zig-zagging up rocks and scree for 150m. This path leads to the base of Curved Ridge. The ridge itself is little more than a walk in its lower and upper sections, but through spectacular rock scenery with stunning views. The crux of Curved Ridge is the Black Wall. This series of steps can be overcome in two pitches, and although it can be free soloed, has a few nervous moments even for experienced climbers! Once the Black Wall is past, follow the ridge upwards and join the gully on your right to pass Crowberry Tower on your way to the summit.
