Description:
4 pitches of superb climbing on immaculate rhyolite at about British tech 4a. Pitches 2 and 4 contain tricky traverses, and 4 is the crux. Route finding is not straightforward, so a cool head is essential. Belays are generally sound on this route, with the exception of the anchor after pitch 3, which is almost hanging on an imaginative collection of gear which can be wearing. This is an outstanding route in the middle of its grade and should be on anyone's low-grade trad tick list. **WARNING** January Jigsaw has several extremely exposed situations, and requires a good lead head. This would not be a good first trad climb.

pretty hairy for a severe
HS, or even VS might give a better feel for the climb. Its all there, and the holds are great, but as the description suggests, its pretty exposed at times and needs a steady head. Highly recommended.
