Description:

The Red Slab is easy to see at the top center of Rannoch Wall, and forms the crux of this route. In four or possibly five pitches of climbing, interest is sustained, and a few tricky moments will need thought through. The Red Slab itself is a bold rising traverse across a blank slab on tiny holds with almost no gear above a large drop. A fall on the Slab would not be advised and could result in a dangerous pendulum. Red Slab is high in its grade and not to be underestimated. I would advise trying a Severe on Rannoch Wall before attempting the Slab, as it is not a place to get stuck or have an epic.
