About Guri, Busates - Kosovo:
Limestone wall. Approximately 30 meters in height with natural limestone anchors at top. There are no sufficiently large trees present for top anchors. Climbing is subject to poor stone quality. |
Nearest town or city: | Kosovska Kamenica |
Directions: | 3km South West of Kosovska Kamenica. |
Latitude, Longitude: | 42.56591, 21.54144 |
Access Issues: | Located in an isolated area. Passenger vehicles have access to a shoulder at the side of the road within a leisurely 150 meter walk of the cliff face. Top rope access is just as easy. Hotel Jahona is visible from Guri Busates and has decent local cuisine. From what I've gathered, climbing isn't done by the locals. This climbing area is used by KFOR with permission from the local municipality. Side note: A local (that lives within 300 meters of the cliff) stated that there is an ancient Roman burial ground against the base of the cliff. His father has noted human bones revealed along the path at the cliff base after heavy rains. |
