About Craig Arthur(OS):

This is one very exposed crag. Almost 200 feet tall, and sitting at the top of the valley, it feels very out there!!! Some of the best routes in the area are found here, and some of the hardest, too. About 50 routes with little below E1, mostly E3 and upwards. The rock is mostly sound, but there are some questionable sections. Well worth the drive and hike.
Nearest town or city: Llangollen
Directions: OS117--GR224/471 Five miles NNE of Llangollen. From Llangollen on the A5 cross the bridge in the center of town and turn left on the A592. After one mile, turn right up to the Eglwyseg valley and World's End. After about 600 yards take the left turn to the valley, where you will reach a T-junction after a little over half a mile. Turn left and drive to the hairpin turn at Craig Y Forwen, where a path will contour around to the crag, about a one mile walk. This crag is the large set of high cliffs overlooking the top end of the valley.
