About Bird Rock (OS):

Climbing is not allowed on the east face (on the left as you are looking at the rock) between March 1st and July 31st. Quite a good outcrop with three distinct sections. The Bastion is the lowest and most formidable crag, about 140 feet high with Extremes, HVS and VS routes up the side, and easier routes to the right. Above and set back is the Central Buttress with a few easier routes. The East Face, up high, has some easy and fun climbs when in season, and the sheltered Far Southern Buttress is around to the right of The Bastion, with a few 130 foot SEVERES. Use care when accessing the crags, staying close to the base of the walls.
