About Great Tor(OS):

Although the Great Tor offers the best climbing, there are in fact three tors, Great, West, and Little Tor. Over 100 routes mostly around the Severe grade, 60 feet in length. Pleasant climbing on reasonably angled rock with good protection, sunny, and sheltered. Low tide makes life easier, but only affects a few climbs.

| Directions: | OS 159 GR SS 530 876 Alt. 10m 13 miles WSW of Swansea. Take the A4118 from Swansea about 10 miles to the village of Penmaen. Park by the village shop, where a footpath leads to the coast, and Great Tor is on the headland to the right. Recognize it by the big, detached flake. |
