One of the few areas in the country where the rock can be really good and really awful within a few yards. Generally the lower tiers coming up from the sea are very good, solid and enjoyable. The upper reaches are dramatic, exposed and often loose. The area stretches from Fall Bay nearest to Worm's Head, along the south facing coast to Thurba Head, just past the inlet leading up to the footpath from Pitton. There are about 500 climbs here, over three-fourths of them VS and below and about 60 feet tall. Boulder Cove is the tallest point at 100 feet, and has the greatest concentration of the areas Extremes. Once again, watch the tides, especially in the middle of the cliff.
