About Clogwyn Dur Arddu (OS):
To some this is THE CLIMBING MECCA!!! It has about 200 routes at VS and above, virtually all of which are multi-pitch and at least 250 feet long. The lower-grade routes are very good and the crag is well worth visiting for the VS and HVS leader. There are also plenty of easy Extremes. For most of the year it is cold, wet and windy, and realize it is almost 2 miles to the road, so come prepared for the weather and the walk. The hard routes on the big walls and slabs are often unprotected, so rappell inspection is advisable. |
