About Cefn Coed(OS):
A quarried limestone crag about 100 feet tall. Quite vegetated, but nevertheless about 50 routes on good quality rock. Good protection in the Severe to E3 grades makes the climbing very enjoyable and safe. Southeast facing and down in the valley keeping it nice even in the colder months. |

Directions: | OS160--GR035/083 1.5 miles NW of Merthyr Tydfil. Follow the A470 NW from Merthyr Tydfil, and after one mile turn on the A465 going to Abergavenny. Park almost immediately in a lay-by on the right just past the big bridge. Cross over the road and head right along a fence to a descent after 50 or so yards. |
