About Mewsford Point(OS):

This area is probably the finest open crag in the firing range. Lots of climbing here in all of the grades on routes up to 200 feet long. The west face has about 15 routes from SEVERE to VS, and the southwest and south faces have about 40 more routes up to the middle Extremes, of which most are classic. Well worth the walk, gets you away from the crowds.
Nearest town or city: Stack Rocks
Directions: OS158--GR942/938 Midway between St. Govan's and Stack Rocks, quicker from the Stack Rocks car park. Go past The Cauldron and two bays, then around to the point, which you will recognize by the coastguard lookout and a huge tilted rock platform at the base of the cliff, which becomes isolated at high tide. Approach to the west face is by rappell, 70 feet down the west side. For the south faces, rappell almost 200 feet from the flagpole to the base of the cliff.
