About The Castle(OS):

A very nice area that is little affected by the tides or bird restrictions. Not overly large, around 100 feet tall, but has a lot of superb climbs on this hollowed out headland. About 10 VS to HVS routes on the west face, some E3s on the south face, and the east face has about 25 routes mostly in the E1 to E5 range. Rappell down the groove in the south face to reach the base and access to most of the climbs. It is also the escape and goes at about SEVERE.
Nearest town or city: St. Govan's
Directions: OS158--GR954/934 From the St. Govan's car park, walk into the range and follow the track past the wire enclosure of Saddle Head, past the next blunt headland and on to The Castle, noted for its large through cave. About one mile from the car park.
