About Westside Regional Recreation Centre:
A climbing wall inside a recreation centre. 24 feet high and 33 feet across with 9 ropes. 4 ropes are set up for lead climbing. Routes range in difficulty from 5.5-5.11 with lots of good bouldering set up. Harnesses and belay devices are included in the admission fee so you just have to bring a pair of shoes. A great place to take beginners and kids. Free top rope and lead belay test, must be 13 or older to top rope belay and 16 or older to lead. All wall users need a waiver signed (obviously) and anyone under 18 needs a legal guardian with them to co-sign. Call about closures due to courses or rentals at 531-5875.
