The Bayon
About The Bayon:
One of the premier 5.12 - 5.13 sport walls in the valley. The rock is overhanging, well-textured limestone and the routes range from about 15-20m in length. Strong fingers can come in handy here as the routes tend to have fingery cruxes, especially the farther right you journey along the wall. The Bayon receives little sun all year, this combined with it's position near the back of the creek means that a fleece can be helpful on almost any given day. The climbs here were bolted with stick-clipping in mind, so if you don't have one, find a large stick in the forest or an expendable spotter. |
