About Drywood:

Drywood is located off of highway 6 inbetween Waterton and Pincher Creek. This is one of the few real sport climbing areas in Southern Alberta. There are around 25 routes ranging from 5.4 to a very overhung 5.12 (passes horizontal in one spot).
Nearest town or city: Pincher Creek/Waterton
Directions: From Lethbridge drive to Spring Coulee, then take highway 505 past St. Mary’s Dam until you come to a T intersection.  Turn left towards Cardston, and then right at a small gas station.  This put you back on highway 505 taking you past Hillspring and eventually to highway 6.  Turn left toward Waterton, and in about 1km, turn right onto the Shell Waterton Road.  At the plant turn left onto a dirt road that climbs a hill.  As you descend the hill, turn left in front of an artificial lake.  Continue straight until you reach a gate.  A large cave should be visible in the cliff bands on the south side of the valley.  This is where all the climbing is located.
