About Tyee:

Tyee consists of 3 walls, with about 15 routes total. The highest climb reaches about 35m. Two routes are bolted for sport, and all have chain/bolted anchors. Routes range from 5.10a to 5.12b... although some easier and harder un-named routes are in the area.

There is a great view from this site, and its a great way to spend a day or two climbing. Routes are typically dry about 2 days after the last rainfall.

Enjoy!

Nearest town or city: Prince Rupert
Directions: Aprox 30km east of Prince Rupert, right where Hwy16 meets the Skeena river. Park in the pull-out where the highway bends around the mountain. The trail starts on the other side of the rail tracks, on the rock with the Native Hieroglyphics. Hike up into the forest about 300ft to a clearing and the granite walls.

Three tent spots have been built (by myself and friends), as well as a metal fire pit, and cooking table. Water is about 5 mins walk away from the campsite. If your camping, be responsible for your food/garbage, as there is a resident bear in the area!

Please pack out your garbage, and leave it cleaner than you found it... we worked hard to develop this site. Please re-thread the yellow ropes through the anchors when your done, as many people come here for the quick top-rope setup.
