About French River:

Cut by the French River, this gorge has many possible climbs. Access may be gained from Hwy 69 at the French River rest stop. Walk down trail to Recollet falls and set up TR of large pine trees. Appropriate to belay from the top. Better to bring a canoe for access to both sides of the river and for scouting routes. Should be possible to set up sling shot belay on most cliffs - heights range from 10 to 30 m. Use extreme caution with belayer below not to disturb loose rocks, as there are many. Also take regard for the natural setting and try to preserve the lichen covered cliffs. This is a park and climbing may not be encouraged.
