About Lac du Poisson Blanc:
A near-vertical wall of granite rising straight of a scenic laurentian lake (yes, boat-belays). Paroi Elephant is thirty meters high and about 200 wide. Altogether about 20 climbs including a group on a small cliff in the forest above the main face. To date, two fatalities have resulted from people wanting to jump in the water from the top of this cliff. |

Directions: | For all of you wondering all this time where this mysterious place was....... t's on Lac du Poisson Blanc just roughly an hours drive north of Gatineau. From Gatineau you take the 307 North to Ch. Voyageur. Once you hit Ch. Poisson Blanc stay on it till you hit the water and then go the spot on the map below. There are other access roads to the lake that seem to be closer.... but really you gotta have a canoe to get there. Camping is free... but to park near the entrance I'm talking about is $6 a night. You can rent canoe's there as well. |
