About White Mountain:
Just off the Alaska Highway by Jake's Corner is White Mountain. On the northeast side along the highway, limestone buttes rise up a few hundred feet with some promising multi-pitch routes. Around on the southwest facing slope are many smaller buttes overlooking Little Atlin Lake, and these are relatively easy to access. There is much here to explore, and many first ascents to be found. The mountain is easy to approach from the southwest, with outcrops found on all of its slopes. |
