This mountain is a bit of a walk from the main road through Denali. The route heads directly away from the road and curves around the back of the mountain, coming up almost directly behind it. It is VERY steep and the last fifty feet are near vertical. There are very few higher peaks, so the wind will almost always be very strong (on summer days, ravens will float above the rock, just hovering in the strong wind.
For the more adventurous, there is a near sheer cliff that overlooks the roar. It is about 2,000 feet, give or take, and it is completely exposed. It is crumbling rapidly and the scree at its base is a real pain to get over.
