About Ruth Gorge:
Located in Denali National Park on the east side of Denali. With sheer granite walls rising over 4,000 feet from the glacier, it has been called "Yosemite with a glacier". This is the alpine hardman's playground with famous peaks such as Moose's Tooth, Mt. Barrille, Mt. Dickey, and the Rooster's Comb. Many classic alpine and mixed Grade VI routes with easy descents down the backside. The best months to climb are March through July, depending on the type of climb you desire. The flight into the Great Gorge alone is worth the trip. |

Directions: | Ruth Gorge is almost always accessed by air. Most of the fly-in services in Talkeetna offer trips to and from the Ruth Glacier. A long hike could be attempted but is not recommended, as food and gear logistics would be a nightmare. |
