About Granite Tors:

A cluster of granite domes and spires a couple of hours off the road. Take water in the summer, it can get warm. The Tors in the trees are good on the colder and windy days.
Nearest town or city: Chena Hot Springs
Directions: Take Chena Hot Springs Road to Mile 39 and park at the campground on the left side of the road. There is a maintained loop trail that accesses the area. Cross the road and bridge and look for a trail on the south bank of the Chena. As you leave the riverside the trail forks, and the right fork leads to the most developed rock after a couple of hours of hiking. The left fork takes you to North Tor and East Tor Island Group. Rock 1 and the Lizard's Eye can be done with an early start, but the distant Tors are usually an overnight trip.
