About Scandinavia Peaks:
| An 18-mile approach up the Matanuska Glacier leaves you in the midst of peaks with names like, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Sweden. The Mountaineering Club of Alaska erected a hut at the base of these climbs. A bushplane ride to a landing strip a 1/4 mile from the hut will add more time for climbing but subtract from the overall experience. There is another MCA hut at the base of Mount Wickersham near the halfway point to break up the approach or for those who can't make it in a day. |
