About Flat Top:

The most widely climbed peak in Alaska. Also the site of the most rescues in Alaska aside from Denali. Start at the Glen Alps parking lots and follow one of several trails up. Access to the south face also at the top of Canyon Road (off of upper DeArmon) via Rabbit Creek Valley. A good training area for beggining mountaineering. Lots of wind forms great slabs, so its a good place to learn anchors, self-arrests, etc.
