About Reed Valley:
Reed Creek flows from the Upper and Lower Reed lakes, down into Archangel Valley, where it connects with Fair Angel Creek, and turns into Archangel Creek. It is a long hike, but well worth it for the great climbing. A mixture of sport and trad in solid granite, right smack in the middle of some of the most beautiful country in the world. Camping is free, and there are enough routes to keep you busy for at least a week, probably more. There's also a lot of great hiking to be found back in these mountains, and even an old bomber that crashed here years ago. |

Directions: | Drive up Archangel road until you cross the creek, and park in the parking lot after the bridge. There's a well-beaten trail there that follows Reed Creek all the way up to Upper Reed lake. There's tons of great climbing before you reach Lower Reed Lake, and two areas just above it. |
