About Eagletail Mountain:

Desert mountaineering on volcanic rock.
Nearest town or city: Tonopah
Directions: From Phoenix, drive @ 75 miles west on I-10 to exit 81 (Salome Rd/Harquahala Valley Road). Follow the road south, then turn right/west on Courthouse Road. Continue for a few miles until it reaches a junction and kiosk; take the right and continue until a lone post and next road is passed on right. Shortly after passing the pole, a rougher dirt road on the left leads to the climbs on south side of east face. For the north side of crag, continue another couple of miles to the north side of the actual Rock and turn left to the signed parking area for the Eagletail Mtns.
