About Pine mountain:

I dont know much about the place only that it has climbig. The climbing wall face north and in the summermay be the better time to go, the winter gets a little to cold to be climbing. I would not go in the spring just for the fact that you have to cross washes and i have no idea wheterthey run during this time. And make sure that you have a higher clearance vehicle for the road, You can geta mini van in there, we did. But you would be better off with a truck. have fun
Nearest town or city: Cordes Junction
Directions: To get there, from phoenix take I-17 north to dougas road, then make a right and foll the road signs that will ead you to The pine mountain area. Be warned, this is a very long dirt road, if you go in the spring time be aware that there are washes that may be running that you will have to cross. While going on the road you will pass a few ranches and houses. There is also a small town called dougas, about 10 houses. About a mile before you reach the pine mountain trailheadThere will be an exit to the right that says double T ranch if i am correct, when we were there there was no one at the ranch, so be careful not o get shot by the redneck that might live there. all of the climbing wall faces north. There is camping at the pine mountain trailhead. Some nice secluded hiking back in there.
