About The Reef:
North Facing Limestone Crag located barely a half mile out of Winkleman along the Gila River. You can climb there whenever you can stand the water temps for the approach. When Bolting ElCap Canyon Manuel Rangle remarked of some tall limestone cliffs along the river. Later that weekend we ventured forth to check them out and later realized it was a gift from the gods. After figuring out that the river is shallow at key places we began making the crag a destination. While there we discovered 1 set of unknown anchors at the Main Wall. At this time they are unclaimed. Afterwords we developed the bouldering and the 4 routes that were completed during the season. There is potential for about 8-10 more bolted lines and a little bit more bouldering. |
