About Kelly Canyon:
| Kelly Canyon is the states Best Sandstone Bouldering Destination. With rock that resembles some of the British gritstone, climbers from the world round have found a multitude of problems to burn their days on. Much of the Problems are located on rock that erosion has uncovered so topouts are sometimes sketchy and high. Although a favorite hiking loop for the tourists, this area has been climbed on for over 15 years now and is destined to bring many climbers through there prime on this gentle stone. |

| Directions: | From the I-17 about 15 miles south of Flagstaff is the Exit Kelly Canyon Road. Going west off this exit leads you down a dirt road for about a half mile till you get to a No Dumping sign. At this Fork go right till you pass a huge pit where locals sometimes shoot there guns for practice. Follow the major road west past the pit adn then about 1500 ft later is a parking pullout that is obviously cleared out beneith the pines. From the parking you go north down the hill to the Main Warm-up area. Climbing is abundant either right or left from this point. Please remain on trails and be cautious not to diturb the plant and wildlife in this extrodinary destination. Over-use can be a concern to the locals in Flagstaff so be especially sensitive to your impact here at Kelly as well as other crags you frequent.
