About Bikini Beach:
This area is home to some stellar deep water soloing. This is the place to go on hot, humid Arkansas summer days. Routes ranging from a crack that rocked my world, to an arete that looks near impossible. Depending on your skill level, you will find many good climbs. I found out about this place from a climber at Ozark Outdoor Supply. Sometimes the drunks in the boats can be annoying, but then again it's a small price to pay. I'm a newbie to the area, so it would be best to ask around...I just wanted to put such stellar climbing on the map. Update! The Around the Corner area water level is dangerously low. It hit about lower mi-section (I'm a 6 foot guy) so be careful out there. Luckily this means all the climbs have new starts, some easier, some harder. |
Nearest town or city: | Greers Ferry |
Directions: | The Cliffs are located directly off Arkansas 225. To get there you will need to be on Arkansas Highway 92. Arkansas Highway 92 is located in between Greers Ferry and Drasco. You will need to turn off on 225 to reach the cliffs. You will go for about 2 miles and cross a 2-lane bridge. While crossing the bridge, you get an excellent view of the up-coming climbing. Right after the bridge you will see a small dirt area directly off the road. After a little walking, you will be at some of the most stellar deep-water i've ever seen. Jump in and have fun! |
