About Incredible Hulk:
This is a little piece of Yosemite Valley dropped into a high valley in the Sierras. The hike in is mellow and well worth it. Croft and Nettle just put up a .13c there the day before I climbed Ygdrasil. |
Nearest town or city: | Bridgeport |
Directions: | Park at the Twin Lakes campgroind ($10 for up to a week) Instead of wading across the beaver ponds (probably not the greatest idea since they're a protected species) hike up the regular trail until you get to a large tree and quartz rock just to the left of the trail and just east of little slide canyon. Turn left here and make your way to the meadow and trending left to a natural log bridge crossing the stream. Across the stream take the still forming trail towards LSC staying close to the river near the beginning until you get to the steep switchbacks. Follow the cairns until you reach the former trail. This will take you up the right side of the canyon to the various camping areas and the Hulk proper. |
