About Big Sur:
A one of a kind climb for the central coast... a sea stack actually out in the Pacific Ocean. Summit register on top. |
Nearest town or city: | Big Sur to San Simeon |
Directions: | Slate's Spire is about 7 miles past the northern San Luis Obispo county line, or better, 9 miles past Ragged Point Restaurant. It is difficult to see from the car so don't try. Keep your eyes on the road! Park in a pull out and then check it out. There are also a lot of boulders on beaches and in coves and up ravines. Explore. |
