About Old County:

Rumored to of been originally explored by Yosemite valley legend Rick Lovelace, this area has seen a series of surges followed by periods of obscurity. Hence the abundance of un-named problems, no one really know who truly got the first ascent. Several different boulders strewn across a 1/2 mile of bushy hillside, some harder to find than others. Most people just make a circuit out of the first three boulder groups, sharp rock will fry your tips before you get any further. for the adventurous, walk directly past the first three boulders without stopping and move into less trodden areas. Following the elusive trail/bushwack one will eventually find such spots as the binder and mini pow wow, the latter being a super classic V2ish highball with ultra classic moves reminiscent of big chief's Pow wow.
Nearest town or city: Tahoe City
Directions: Head east towards Kings beach, take a left on Old County Rd. Drive until you see some boulders at the end of the road. Park here and walk on the highly used trail. A small climbers trail will be on the left hand side within a one minute. It will join with another trail and take the left towards some boulders. Good trails lead to a group of 5 boulders. More are up the hill, but the trail is more like a bushwack.
