About Antelop Canyon:

Steep 4's&5's 100 - 250 footers. Area is back off the road 1 miles hike, down canyon to antelope creek with water year round. Many cliffs to chose from if you go in by what is called slab #2
Nearest town or city: Red Bluff
Directions: In Red Bluff take Antelope Blvd. east towards Chico, Just as the Blvd. turns into Hwy. 99E there is a bend in road and on left is road called Hogsback, take that 6.2 miles, dirt after cattle guard. There are camping spots at Slab #1, open to public, need PU or jeep at points so no low nice cars. No fires from June 1 to Nov 1, Best climbing times are May to June and Sept to Nov as this is Hot country with summer temps in excess of 110%, I’ve been out there at 120! Yes 120% and it’s not pretty on the Rock at about 160%. if you do want to check it out there you can call me. (530)567-5770 Skinner~

Access Issues: As I said, It's a mean road to get there with jeep the best, but PU wil be fine. winter not good. Pot holes make it a slow ride so think about for sure making it a 2-3 day venture. From Red bluff itself it's about 12 miles total. A bit of a hike but worth it once your there and camping is avaible down at Slab #2 but No fires in summer, bring camp stove.
