About Bald Rock:
Bald Rock Dome is a 400 foot granite dome with climbs up to four pitches in length. Bald Rock Canyon is a huge, 2000 foot granitic slab dome. Both areas lie on National Forest land. Awesome views of the Feather River Canyon! Good bouldering can be found at the picnic area. First ascent of Bald Rock Canyon was Nelson and Rears in 1960. A great mountaineers climb with slab pitches interspersed with fourth class climbing. |
