Directly inside of Vacaville is an Open Space District with TONS of boulders. The rock is basalt and features square cut holds, alot of traverses, and alot of moderates, or harder eliminates. |

| Directions: | Drive to Vacaville on the (80). Exit North onto the (505). Take the 1st exit Vacavalley Prkwy. Turn left onto VV Parkway and follow till you see a group of boulders on the right. There are more boulders if you turn back on Vacavalley parkway, then turn left on Hillcrest, proceed to end, park by Yellow Gate. Straight ahead are some boulders. More beyond the fence. Alternatively, you can turn left on Wrentham from the dead end on Vacavalley Parkway from the 1st set of Boulders, then go down till Woodcrest and turn right and park by the Yellow Gate (there are about 15 Yellow Gates at various spots on various street in Brown's Valley). Hike up the dirt road that heads left and then cross the fence at an obvious break (public access). Tons of boulders here. Despite what others will tell you, there are TONS of boulders all over the hills. |
